About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences (DACS) at Maastricht University. My research interests include Knowledge Graphs, Linked Open Data, Machine Learning, and Semantic Web Technologies, as well as the application of these technologies in drug discovery and personalized health.

I have considerable experience in data integration and knowledge discovery from structured and unstructured data. My research vision is to understand and improve personalized health and accelerate drug discovery through the use of responsible neuro-symbolic AI approaches, adhering to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles.

Research interests:

  • Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Web
  • Neuro-symbolic AI (combining LLMs with knowledge graphs)
  • FAIR data practices
  • Personalized health and drug discovery
  • Ontology-based reasoning and evaluation

I am currently involved in the AIDAVA project, developing AI-driven approaches for clinical knowledge graph construction and patient data integration.
